I apologize for my lack of posts today. I’m trying to get over the shock of not being named host or an ‘expert’ on Boy Band. If anyone is an expert on Boy Bands, it’s me!

ABC obviously didn’t see it that way as they named Rita Ora the host today. They also announced that Backstreet Boy Nick Carter and Spice Girl Emma Bunton have signed on as “experts who will guide contestants throughout their journey to stardom.”

I guess Nick and Emma are experts, so I can’t be mad at that choice. I’m honestly so excited for this show. I loved Making the Band and it’s about time America produces another great boy band.

The show will premiere on ABC June 22nd. Obviously, I’ll be watching.
